"A Second Coming of Age: Finding Yourself (again) in Paris"...with a side of stretching and cold-pressed juice - all part of the free Message Talks program.
Kristen Beddard, founder of The Kale Project and author of Bonjour Kale: A Memoir of Paris, Love and Recipes will be speaking on "A Second Coming of Age: Find Yourself In Paris."
Many women move to Paris and find the city to be difficult, grey and complicated. We miss our friends, our kids can't speak French, we can't speak French and well things are just different. For many women, not being allowed to work does not help the situation. Yet all is not lost. Paris is filled with opportunities - it's finding the right one for you.
As a different twist, Kristen has partnered with Kelly Dailey Vinoche, owner of The Dailey Method Barre Studio to start off the night with 20 minutes of relaxing stretches. I think every mom can agree that we all could stretch our tired bodies a little bit more often!
8:00pm - 8:30pm: Relaxing stretches
8:00pm - 9:00pm: Enjoy cold-press juices provided by Otium Coldpress and Kristen's talk followed by questions and book signing
Bonjour Kale will be on sale for 15€ with two books to be given away by raffle to Message members who attend.
Please wear comfortable clothing and socks.
The Dailey Method has a 'Dailey Express" class from 7:00 - 7:45pm and is offering a preferential price to attendees of the talk. The price of the class is normally 35€ and Message members who attend will pay only 10€ for one class if they want to attend. The speech and stretch session is FREE.
